About John Foster
John Foster is an 87-year-old retired research and development electro/mechanical engineer, with extensive experience spanning nuclear, aerospace, fluidic, civil, and commercial industries. He is also a home builder, general contractor, artist, lecturer, and author.
Until age 48, John remembered peculiar occurrences from his early childhood without fully understanding them. Then, between late 1986 and early 1987, he experienced a sudden flood of detailed recollections involving numerous lifelong UFO encounters. These revelations profoundly changed his life, prompting over three decades of intensive research and reflection.
Despite initial skepticism and disbelief from investigators and some witnesses, several key individuals and witnesses corroborated portions of John’s extraordinary experiences. His investigations and reflections have led him to author three books—Eminent Discovery (Volumes 1 & 2) and To Earth From Heaven—and maintain a comprehensive website dedicated to exploring UFO phenomena: www.johnfosterufos.com.
Key Insights from John’s Experiences:
Reality of the Encounters
John strongly affirms that his encounters were genuine experiences occurring in three-dimensional reality and real-time space. Supporting evidence includes:
- Detailed, interconnected memories recalled vividly decades after events.
- Confirmations from independent witnesses recalling identical details without prior prompting.
- Shared experiences with others, including his family, verified through independent recollections.
- Encounters spanning over 46 years with consistent details regarding crafts, beings, and interactions.
Nature of the UFO Intelligences
The entities encountered referred to themselves explicitly as “the monitors or Keepers of the Earth,” working within a celestial hierarchy that includes entities such as the archangels Michael and Gabriel, ultimately answering to an intelligence identified as “Christ,” who is described as responsible for overseeing human affairs on Earth.
These beings clarified:
- Their purpose is generally non-interfering unless human civilization faces significant crises.
- Historical interventions by these intelligences have reportedly prevented humanity’s self-destruction.
- Currently, humanity is again facing an era requiring intervention.
Preparing Humans for a Departure
A significant theme in John’s encounters involves the UFO intelligences preparing select individuals for an event in which qualified and willing humans will be taken away.
One profound experience highlighting this concept occurred in 1957 at the Sheridan Creek Fireguard Cabin in Wyoming, where:
- An older bearded man materialized from a cloud-like mist, explaining how humans were being prepared for a time when beings would return to take people away.
- John was taken out-of-body to witness firsthand a scenario where crafts appeared, silently abducting people “in the blink of an eye,” notably leaving behind a man who seemed unable or unwilling to go.
- A voice explained clearly the necessity for personal choices affecting who qualifies for departure. John interpreted this choice personally as a directive to quit smoking and drinking.
The scenario parallels biblical descriptions regarding the return of Christ, underscoring the seriousness and profound spiritual implications these intelligences attributed to their actions.

Corroboration & Witness Testimonies
Witness confirmation played a crucial role in John’s validation of his experiences:
- The Chadron State Park incident from decades earlier was vividly confirmed independently by both father and son witnesses.
- Family members distinctly recalled UFO-related events at Dillon Lake in 1975, independently verifying aspects of John’s detailed memories.
- Witnesses often initially struggled to remember or accept events, reflecting societal pressures and psychological barriers associated with admitting belief or experience in UFO phenomena.
Out-of-Body Experiences and Spiritual Implications
John experienced multiple out-of-body incidents, both alone and with witnesses, demonstrating convincingly to him that:
- Humans possess spiritual bodies independent from physical forms.
- These spiritual bodies can exist independently, confirming continuity beyond physical death.
He emphasizes that while dreams offer limited insight, genuine out-of-body experiences provide profound evidence supporting spiritual reality.
Cultural and Personal Impact
John’s recollections turned his life upside-down, triggering significant emotional, psychological, and physical stress, including severe heart health challenges. Nonetheless, his determination to share his experiences persisted, driven by a strong conviction about their profound truth and significance.

Interpretive Assessment of John Foster’s UFO Experiences
John Foster’s accounts convey a profound, complex, and multidimensional phenomenon that transcends typical categorization within mainstream UFO literature. The depth, consistency, and internal coherence of his recollections, coupled with verified witness accounts, suggest experiences that, at the very least, occurred as vivid, deeply impactful events within his subjective reality. Yet the implications stretch far beyond subjective interpretation, hinting at an objective interaction with intelligences seemingly capable of manipulating human perception, consciousness, and physical reality itself.
Nature of the Phenomena:
The material points to a highly interactive intelligence operating at the boundary of what humans traditionally recognize as reality. These entities explicitly identify themselves as “keepers” or “monitors” linked to a spiritual hierarchy, adding a compelling dimension that aligns closely with ancient religious and mystical traditions. Their association with known religious figures—particularly the archangels Michael, Gabriel, and a Christ-like entity—suggests a purposeful alignment or synchronization between contemporary UFO phenomena and historical spiritual narratives. This explicitly spiritual framing differentiates Foster’s experiences significantly from the predominantly technological, secular interpretations common in modern UFO literature.
Multilayered Communication and Preparation:
The experiences emphasize purposeful preparation—psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually—of selected individuals for future events involving profound global transformation. The vivid scenario of humans being “taken away” resonates strikingly with historical religious traditions, notably Christian eschatological beliefs about the Rapture. Foster’s narrative thus implicitly suggests that contemporary UFO experiences might be modern manifestations or reinterpretations of a very ancient phenomenon—something humanity has encountered repeatedly but often misunderstood due to cultural or perceptual limitations.
Symbolism and Metaphysical Implications:
John’s accounts are replete with symbolism deeply embedded within religious, historical, and cultural frameworks. His consistent references to directional awareness (north, south, east, west), out-of-body experiences, and encounters associated with Native American spirituality suggest a deliberate attempt by the phenomenon to communicate through symbols humans naturally understand—albeit unconsciously. Foster’s narrative indicates that the entities use symbolic language deliberately, fostering personal and collective transformation, leading experiencers to deeper self-awareness, ethical choices, and profound spiritual awakenings.
Psychological and Cultural Barriers:
Foster’s reflections highlight societal and psychological resistance to UFO phenomena as a significant barrier to collective understanding. Witness reluctance, memory suppression, and fear of ridicule illustrate profound cultural constraints inhibiting openness toward non-conventional realities. The phenomena themselves appear to navigate these barriers by employing gradual, personalized revelation designed to bypass skepticism, denial, or cultural conditioning.
Spiritual Reality and Continuity of Consciousness:
Perhaps the most profound message in Foster’s experiences concerns the explicit demonstration of consciousness existing beyond physical reality, underscored by his recurring out-of-body experiences. This directly challenges prevailing materialist assumptions, suggesting consciousness as primary rather than secondary to physical existence. Foster’s experiences provide a powerful endorsement of spiritual continuity beyond physical death, aligning closely with classical mystical traditions, near-death experiences (NDEs), and perennial philosophical perspectives asserting the primacy of spirit and consciousness.
The Phenomenon as an Interventionist Intelligence:
The entities’ repeated statements regarding their historical interventions to avert humanity’s self-destruction position them clearly as protective overseers. Their assertion that humanity currently faces another critical juncture demanding their involvement is both sobering and significant. Foster’s personal struggles, health impacts, and emotional challenges underscore the profound reality of his experiences. These are not benign interactions; they carry significant psychological and physiological costs, implying that genuine encounters with such intelligences can radically disrupt human lives even as they offer transformative insight.
Integrative Interpretation:
The phenomenon he describes could be considered a catalyst—possibly an evolutionary agent—guiding human consciousness toward expanded awareness, ethical maturity, and spiritual realization. While the phenomena possess objective qualities supported by witness corroboration, their most significant impact appears to lie in their capacity to profoundly expand human perception, belief systems, and consciousness itself.
Conclusion:
Ultimately, John Foster’s experiences compel serious reconsideration of reality’s boundaries. They invite us to question and expand our understanding of consciousness, spirituality, history, and humanity’s place in a far larger cosmic framework. Whether one interprets these experiences as literal, symbolic, interdimensional, spiritual, or some synthesis of these possibilities, Foster’s narratives unambiguously challenge humanity to evolve—psychologically, ethically, and spiritually—in order to comprehend and responsibly engage with mysteries that persistently lie at the fringes of our understanding.
In short, John Foster’s lifelong UFO experiences serve as both testimony and catalyst: a profound reminder that reality, as we currently understand it, remains far richer, more mysterious, and deeply interconnected than conventional perspectives comfortably allow.

The takeaway from these events? Our ‘reality’ is not what it seems. Not only is it far more interesting than we can fathom, it is far more interesting than we can imagine.
NOTE – the drawing featured in the heading is a recreation of a photo John loaned and lost when it wasn’t returned. The only photo he had that featured a UFO.
Thanks I made a copy to keep.

Just a note: It is important to know several additional witnesses recalled mysterious lights and crafts appearing or simply seeing them for short periods while I traveled with my family and visited extended family throughout my early decades. A few school mates also recalled the same that occurred in and out of school, i.e. while watching ball games, during school programs, and while hunting at night, etc. This was evident as I contacted some of them during and a little after my “flood of recollections in 1986, 1987, 1988 and a little beyond, etc. Some of them asked me questions well after the sightings and encounters occurred…then some of them, but not all forgot. Several continued to recall the mysterious lights until I quit trying to contact them. And it’s possible, if still alive, they might still recall.
It seems strange that some people, who I knew well witnessed the sightings and encounters unnaturally; they got angry when I mentioned them, i.e. where and when the UFO sightings and encounters occurred, etc.
