This is not about adopting a belief system. It is about refining perception.
A Note Before We Begin
Let go of ego. It’s a phrase that has been on repeat — because I keep waffling. Owning this story, really sharing it, has been its own kind of work. For reasons that probably don’t need cataloguing, I have managed by deflecting: seeking out similar accounts, amplifying other voices, using them to quietly validate my own experience without having to stand in front of it directly.
The guides have noticed. Their response has been equal parts chastising and funny — a nudge that essentially amounts to: just tell it. Stop managing the outcome. Stop calculating who the information is for, or whether it will land, or what someone will make of it — because that calculation is beyond my knowing and entirely beyond my control.
So this is me telling it.
Speak it. Let it go where it is needed. Walk away from the question of whether it is worthy of judgment, scrutiny, or belief. It is an authentic account. That is the only credential it carries, and the only one that matters.
What follows is one of those accounts.
4.2.2026 — Field Notes
A raven has flown out of a spot in the field and zooms over my head, above me. Voices around me. Again, this is what I saw in the field — I see a bird fly out of the dirt in the field. They say: “Are you next? Who is next? Someone is betrothed.”
The neon nightlight is on today. Trust — syncing.
What is this about? It’s about remembering who you are. Why the need to compare? Why seek that which is external when the internal is where the power — insight — knowing — vision lies? Extreme confidence is what it takes to rule over ego. It has more to do with becoming a visionary and allowing that purpose to override any sense of belonging or group focus. Most who are in groups are seeking to blend — to find a sense of belonging and to diminish their sense of not fitting in. So what! Fitting in is the last thing required of a visionary — so now you claim it and own it.
Let go is what we have been trying to drill into your core — to remind you to get outside yourself. Let the ego drop and become one with the flow. Synchronize your wonder and knowing to the flow of life — beyond the physical, beyond the façade of education and learning. No numbers or letters exist for this material. However, it creates a fluid space — engagement with all that has no form and no need for language, because it is the soup of the soul and the being of all that is. Engage and let the ego go.
Aloha. You are ready to know more. The walls are fading — because they don’t exist. The boundaries are dissolving because you are not physical — you are a great being of light. To diminish that is to let go of the most miraculous state of awareness. The great goal — the grail of all grails — to become the one of myth and magic. To distance the one of knowing and becoming, and then realize it was inside all along. Never gone. Never missing. Always present.
Aloha. Awaken and know more. Believe. The truth is, and always was, inside the seeker. It has been hidden to allow recovery of the higher state — for when the mind got tired of tripping over it.
Laugh. The one and only — light is you. Recovery and discovery: the lessons of contact.
Raven in the Field
There it is. Unfiltered, direct, and — in that last turn — unmistakably funny.
The mind got tired of tripping over it. That line is the actual explanation for why the knowing goes quiet. It doesn’t go away. It steps aside while the seeker exhausts every other option. The search itself is the detour. The destination was never moved.
The raven makes sense in this light. It did not arrive from the sky — from somewhere beyond, somewhere other. It rose from the field, from the ground underfoot, from the most immediate and ordinary surface of the experience. That single detail reframes the entire architecture of how contact works.
We look up. We look out. We build systems of comparison and belonging to triangulate our position. And the whole time, the knowing is in the dirt beneath our feet, waiting for us to stop scanning the horizon.
The voices around the dream — “Are you next? Who is next? Someone is betrothed” — carry that same quality. The word betrothed is not accidental. It implies a commitment already made, a bond already in place, simply waiting to be claimed. Not selection from the outside. Recognition from within.
The neon nightlight, active that same day, the smell of smoke with no visible source — these are not separate phenomena requiring separate explanations. They are the same message in different registers: earth, air, light, transformation. A full sequence confirming what the dream began.
And then the instruction, plain and direct: let go of the ego, step out of comparison, stop measuring yourself against groups built on belonging. Fitting in, the message makes clear, is not a goal — it is a distraction. The visionary’s path moves in a different direction entirely, and confidence is not arrogance. It is the willingness to stop outsourcing knowing to external sources.
What comes through in the original entry, what no amount of interpretation can improve upon, is the tone. It closes with laugh and aloha, with the image of a mind finally done stumbling over the thing that was always there.
Recovery and discovery. The lessons of contact. The raven rose from the ground. It had always been there. “Betrothed” is not about union with an external force. It is a binding, a commitment to a state of awareness. A decision.
The fascinating thing about this — and a clear indication that the nightlight energy is the consistent intelligence behind this communication — is what surfaced only in reviewing it.
In the first writing of my book, nearly thirty years ago, I used almost identical language. To do this work, I wrote, I had to get married to God. The phrase didn’t survive later edits. It was cut, softened, made more palatable — and then, decades on, it arrives again in a dream, dressed in a single word: betrothed.
That is the callout. That is the humor and the precision operating together. A callback — to language I had written, and revised away. Returned now, intact, as if to say: we remember, even when you don’t.
Nearly thirty years of working with this intelligence, and I am still in wonder at the process. Not wonder as in uncertainty. Wonder as in — this is genuinely extraordinary, and I hope I never lose the capacity to recognize that.
4.2.26. Nightlight Video – cameo appearance – under 60 seconds
In connection with today’s channeled message, I asked permission to share the nightlight interaction. I was told to turn on the camera. The response happens without me knowing when. Fortunately, it is under 60 seconds. Almost 3 decades and I am still in awe of the process. Link
The Core Teaching
What came through is actually precise.
- Stop referencing yourself through others
- Stop measuring your position externally
- Drop the need to belong in order to validate your path
- The role you’re stepping into is not group-based — it’s internally anchored.
The message was clear. Fitting in is not the goal. In fact, it may be the very thing that prevents deeper awareness from stabilizing.
