“We want the government to stop putting out stories that perpetuate the myth that all UFOs can be explained away in down-to-earth conventional terms. Investigations need to be reopened, documents need to be unsealed and the idea of an open dialogue can no longer be shunned.” – Former Arizona Gov. Fife Symington wrote on CNN.

Canadian Ufologist Chris Rutkowski has donated a treasure trove of documents, including those on the Falcon Lake encounter to the University of Manitoba.
A crowdfunding campaign is underway to digitize the material. Link.
Rutkowski began investigating UFO sightings, researching and collecting materials in 1975, and since then has written and published about his studies and views on unusual phenomena. To date he has published 10 books on UFOs and related subject matter, focusing on the Canadian experience.
The most recent, When They Appeared is written with Stan Michalak, the son of Stefan Michalak, who experienced one of the most extensively documented UFO encounters. Stan offers an inside perspective of what was happening in the Michalak home immediately following his father’s extraordinary 1967 encounter.
“It just flipped our lives over,” he said. “It took several years before it finally died down.”

After that, and until the day he died in 1999 at the age of 83, Stefan believed he never should have said a thing, but at the time, he felt it was a duty. He wanted others, if they were to see the same thing, to avoid it and not get hurt, Michalak said.
In addition to constant probing from authorities, the family endured condemnation and criticism in the public, Stefan’s sanity was questioned and Michalak was bullied in school.

Curious? Interested in an up close and personal tour of the encounter location? That can be arranged. Stay at the Falcon Beach Ranch. And book a UFO Ride.
“Currently one of the only ways to access the remote site is by horseback, over a rugged rocky ridge, departing from Falcon Beach Ranch. Once you arrive at the site and dismount your horse, your guide – well-versed in the history of the event and the reverberations throughout the Falcon Lake community – leads you through the event as it unfolded, where it unfolded.”
