“Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around.” – Henry David Thoreau
The first step is to be very clear about what you believe. The worst cook is one who has no understanding of what or why certain ingredients have been added to the stew. Learn what caused you to believe your truth and how that is important to all that you do and you can alter everything else without shifting your foundation.
For some, that means identification with a religion. Take the Beliefnet Quiz. For others, it is reclaiming a culture/s (one Ex.) that has been swallowed up by “progress.”
And if you have any doubt about the power of belief or question as to what holds true for you, watch what you say and learn who you are. One can say anything. We are revealed by what we do. Our actions reveal what we truly Believe. Energy empowers substance. Belief is investment of energy. And so it goes.
The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen. – Frank Lloyd Wright
