Rules and Routine are the Death of Intuition

All fixed set patterns are incapable of adaptability or pliability. The truth is outside of all fixed patterns.Bruce Lee

One who insists upon logic, structure, and routine will find it difficult to make an intuitive connection. Rigid patterns of behavior do not allow for spontaneity or deviation from a set pattern. Those two elements are crucial when listening to your gut.

The first step to improving your intuitive ability is to learn to trust yourself enough to allow for deviation and spontaneity. It will be necessary to make some mistakes as you become familiar with what is required to accommodate that inner voice. And those mistakes will help you understand how you operate in the daily grind and what circumstances work best for you and what circumstances produce mixed signals. Know your limits.

If you cannot tolerate uncertainty or not knowing then it will require much more effort to allow intuition to guide you. (That position indicates a high degree of fear.) If you can allow for the element of surprise and mystery – knowing you will be in the right place at the right time….no matter how the surface appears…then start honoring your own guidance system.

No living person can replace or usurp the power of inner knowing unless they are given that power by us. However, they become the only alternative when we choose to remain blind to our own ability.
