Nature IS The Fountain of Youth

Watching the Goldfinches at the feeder is such a calming influence. I think of what life might be like as a Naturalist. They seem to have an appreciative and endlessly inquisitive outlook on life and all the cohabitants of our planet. Synchronicity hits and I connect with Alfred Russell Wallace. Darwin’s competitor, he was controversial because he believed in Spiritualism. He believed the human brain evolved beyond what was needed to function in a given environment and to him that implied the presence of a higher power. The philosophy nailed him to the wall as an outcast. But he held firm in his belief.

I’m with him. Just because we can’t see ‘it” doesn’t mean “it” isn’t there. And we may require a few hundred years before we can provide evidence of that sort….but it will come. Apparently, we will have to evolve to the point where we can see it.

As for the Naturalist lifestyle, it is very appealing. There is great relief and rejuvenation conversing with, relating to, and working with nature. Must be time for a vacation. ; ) A very short list of famous Naturalists.  Learn more at the American Society of Naturalists.

*On a side note, when the Dalai Lama aligns with the family of one who, at a very tender age, is already a force in shifting mindsets and consciousness, pay attention. Bindi Irwin was not the focus but, in carrying on her Father’s legacy,  she is destined for Great Works. The Dalai Lama on Happiness
