Interviewing Dr. Judith Orloff for her book Second Sight a few years back, she said being in a quite – quiet (some typos spell check can’t catch!) place had nothing to do with being in touch with your own insight. Insight is ever present – no matter the environment.
However, when one is unaccustomed to consciously relying on insight or intuition, it helps be able to tune out the non-stop cacophony of the world and the mind to create a solid link to that inner guidance system.
