Playing with Color – A Comparison

A bit of technical stuff. I have been torn on the black background vs. white on blogger. (I opted for neutral on wordpress because the template also had two columns.) Now I am back in black on Blogger. 

I decided to get help with color, not that it will change my mind, but it is nice to see options.

The first site — not quite what I wanted …. number two….close but still wanted more……..Here it is – Color Heaven. And this page for basic web site color design.

What it boils down to is how I want to present my stuff. Content is the focus. The visuals pop on black and blend on white. What do you think? How do your favorite sites make you feel? Is it something you notice?

I am biased. I like working on the black page on blogger and adding color to it. So there it is. To want to work on a project, it has to draw me in first or nothing happens. And it goes from there. I love the snap web preview feature here.

And when I need a break from Black – there is always white…. Now for fun.. I am posting this on both sites so you can see the contrast and the different options of the two sites. Blogger has an Answers.com feature that you lets you click twice on a word for a definition. (Click twice on the quote author Frank Baum.)

One factoid I picked up from those sites: Offices should be gray because that color improves productivity. I want to see the study on what kind of people are more productive in a gray environment. Maybe it is because you are the color in that space. Hmm. Must be why I like the neutral palette here.  ; )
